Our Land Rover Defenders may not be the fastest but they get us from start to the finish and back home again!
2007: Moscow - Ulaanbataar 7400+ km / 15 days (Transsyberia Rallye)
Ulaanbataar - Frankfurt (IAA) 9000+ km / 7 days
Unlike other rally teams, our passion is not just rallye racing, but also the devolopment of new parts and concepts for mobile travel in difficult terrain.
The former pursuit has been taking up more and more time during the last years. From expeditions and the greenlane with friends on the weekend we got to smaller trophies and into competing in Rallye Raid events. Combining this enthusiasm with the pursuit of innovative designs we finally established "Wild Rhino Racing".
Together with a few friends I have started to build the first new concept car on the platform of a Land Rover Defender. It will be presented in Mai 2009.
After being thoroughly tested in this years events and on a 20.000+ km expedition it will be our teams fast service during the 2010 Dakar Rallye (in Argentina and Chile) in January 2010.
My current Defender "Rhino Lady" will be upgraded for this years Superkarpata Trophy. This summer we will then build the "Wild Rhino" the race Defender for the 2010 Dakar and Transoriental Rallyes.
